Who Can Use E Z Keys?
EZ Keys is designed for users who have a third-grade reading level or above and cannot speak or for speaking users who desire adapted computer access. Users with a wide range of disabilities find EZ Keys simple to operate and essential to everyday communication. EZ Keys allows the literate user to do everything from typing a letter, to engaging in conversation with a friend, to exploring the worldwide web. World-renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking uses the software to deliver lectures around the world, while a nine-year-old boy uses it to talk with friends and to participate in classroom activities at his school in Louisiana.

Save Time with Word Prediction and Abbreviation Expansion
EZ Keys comes with a number of invaluable time-saving features, including dual word prediction and abbreviation expansion. When the user begins to type a word, EZ Keys displays a table of the six most frequently used words that begin with those letters. You select the appropriate word from the display, and EZ Keys instantly types the remainder of the word. In addition, EZ Keys features next word prediction, where the program actually learns your word patterns and displays a list of the last six words you used in conjunction with the previous word. Simply select the correct word and EZ Keys types it for you. The word prediction database can contain up to 5,000 words and can be easily modified to include new vocabulary. EZ Keys also allows you to use abbreviations for frequently used words and phrases and for instant speech. Simply type the abbreviation and EZ Keys automatically substitutes it with the complete word or phrase. You can even use this powerful feature to have your computer perform certain tasks, such as saving and printing a file.

Conversations in an Instant
Store hundreds of thousands of phrases and sentences and then retrieve them instantly using EZ Keys’ Instant Phrases. Group phrases according to subject, such as family matters, sports, personal needs, jokes or hobbies, and then use them quickly in everyday conversations.

Express Yourself with Our Built-in READER Feature
Delivering a speech to a large audience or giving a talk to a small family group is effortless with our READER feature. Simply create a talk using your word processor and then speak them one sentence at a time using keystrokes or switch activation. And with EZ Keys you can choose from a variety of software voices to communicate your message, as long as the voice conforms to standardized Microsoft® speech (SAPI).

Operate E Z Keys Your Way
Words+ understands that not everyone can use a mouse. That’s why we designed EZ Keys to provide complete mouse emulation using alternative inputs, such as a keyboard or even a slight movement of an eye using switch activation. A variety of access modes, including standard keyboard, expanded keyboard, joystick, mouse, single and multiple switch scanning, and Morse code, are available with EZ Keys software. You can even switch from one access mode to another without exiting the program. A “no voice” version of EZ Keys is also available for users who do not require speech output, but who want adapted computer access.

Explore Your World with E Z Keys
EZ Keys software gives you the freedom to pursue a variety of activities in and out of the home. Using a modem or fax/modem, you can send and receive messages or explore the World Wide Web. As always, we provide free software updates!
