Loud, Clear Voice.
The quality of the generated speech is a major benefit of the Conversa™. The combination of AT&T voices Natural Voices or NeoSpeech, plus and a new amplified speaker system specifically designed to produce high quality speech that can be clearly understood over the phone, across the room, in group meetings, and even in high noise environments is a major step forward in the augmentative communication industry. It was a key factor in the design of the device.

Powerful and Versatile.
The Conversa™ is a fully functioning Windows XP touch tablet with excellent specifications at 1GB 2GB RAM (more if you need it) and a 12 inch diagonal daylight-viewable display that lets people communicate outdoors in bright sunlight. It weighs less than five pounds with a carrying handle and a couple of several hours of battery life. Add a second battery or connect it to wheelchair batteries for all all-day portable use.

Pre-Loaded with Great Software.
The Conversa™ comes with your choice of software for communicating at home, school and work, right out of the box, including:

E Z Keys™
Used by people who have the desire to talk and to communicate via other electronic forms such as email, internet, etc. People use E Z Keys on Conversa to go beyond basic communication needs to continue employment and social contribution even when they have severe physical limitations. E Z Keys utilizes abbreviation expansion, phrase organization, and planned communication features based on standard literacy skills that most people have been using all their lives, so there is no need to learn new complicated communication programs.
Say-it! SAM™
Often the choice for people who primarily want to use the Conversa to talk but don't intend to use it for email or other computer functionality. Say-it! Sam SAM software contains over 6,500 color Mayer-Johnson picture communication symbols and you can add photos for fun, easy-to-identify communication. The SAM software also contains an advanced written communication section that includes word prediction and phrase prediction. It learns the phrases automatically as people use them to communicate and then automatically pops up likely phrases when needed. SAM software also supports unlimited page links to enable complex sentence building. You can add recordings to symbols, including voice recordings made using the built-in microphone.
Speaking Dynamically Pro™ with Boardmaker™
Turns a computer into a talking word processor, a speech output device and a powerful student-learning tool. You can also add on optional predefined board sets, such as WordPower and Velocity.

Dedicated (SGD) Version Available.
Conversa™ is available as a dedicated speech generating device (SGD) to comply with Medicare guidelines. Both Medicare and Medicaid funding are available for purchasing the Conversa. Be sure to specify a dedicated device part number when ordering.

Conversa™ is a welcome addition to the Words+ family of communication devices that includes handheld, notebook and tablet devices!
