Say-It! SAM Tablet XP1™
The tablet that does it all!
 Say-it! SAM Tablet XP1 is a lightweight Windows XP tablet that runs a lot of the software that you are already familiar with: E Z Keys™, Speaking Dynamically Pro™ or Talking Screen™.
Robust and Portable
The XP1 tablet is originally designed to withstand the rigors of industrial use. The case is made of a thin and light magnesium alloy and high-impact plastic. The unit uses all solid-state memory, so there is no hard drive and no moving parts. This leads to a robust unit that comes with a one-year warranty which can be extended to a total of three years.
The XP1 weighs less than four pounds, and comes with a shoulder strap for ambulatory use. The tablet has a built-in battery and an external battery – together, the two provide eight hours of use for a typical user. For longer life, you can purchase additional external batteries to keep charged and hot-swap (without turning off the tablet) as you need them.
Familiar Software, Easy to Use
The XP1 comes with your choice of software for communicating at home, school and work, including:
E Z Keys – The most powerful and flexible solution for text users needing spoken and written communication.
Speaking Dynamically Pro and Boardmaker – Popular software for talking interactive activities using symbols and text.
Talking Screen – The original dynamic display system for basic symbols and spelling.
Loud, Clear Voice
The XP1 comes with a choice of DECtalk or AT&T Natural Voices, depending on the software package that you choose. Systems with DECtalk include all nine familiar voices. For systems with AT&T Natural Voices, choose the human-sampled voice that suits you best.
Dedicated Devices
The XP1 is available as a dedicated speech generating device (SGD) to comply with Medicare guidelines. Be sure to specify a dedicated device part number when ordering.
Accessories
Mounting plates are available for mounting to wheelchair and desktop mounts. An optional integrated easel is available for using the XP1 on a desktop. Other available accessories give you more battery life, more file storage, and other benefits, as shown in the table below. |
