TuffTalker is perfect for users of all skill levels, including non-literate and non-speaking individuals or individuals who prefer using pictures and symbols to communicate. With TuffTalker, reading skills aren't necessary. Using our Talking Screen™ software, the user simply selects pictures and symbols on the display to communicate thoughts and ideas. Quickly create communication pages with as little as a single symbol or as many as 128 symbols, or use our QuickPage software, which features preprogrammed symbol pages designed exclusively for use with Talking Screen™. As language skills develop, TuffTalker can be customized to meet your changing needs. Once literacy has reached a second- or third-grade level, you can upgrade free to our Words+ E Z Keys™ software, which allows rapid text-to-speech communication.

Your Tuff-Talker comes fully loaded with Windows XP Pro and our popular Talking Screen™ software. Mayer-Johnson's Speaking Dynamically Pro software is now available as an option on all TuffTalker systems. Please call for details. Crystal-Clear Messages with Micro CommPac
If high-quality speech output is important to you, TuffTalker delivers with Micro CommPac, a superior speech output device that is standard on every TuffTalker. Choose from a variety of synthesized voices — using either DECtalk™ or ETI-Eloquence™ or ATT Natural Voices voice output software to communicate your messages instantly. With Micro CommPac's exceptional sound quality and volume, your every word is heard with crystal clarity, even in the noisiest environments.
Access Modes
An active matrix color touchscreen for direct selection is standard on your TuffTalker. An external USB keyboard and mouse are also included for your convenience. Switch and joystick access are standard.

Your TuffTalker comes with a high-quality, custom-made carrying case that allows you to access the touch screen without taking the computer out of the case.
Our Guarantee
Words+ understands how important your communication device is to you. That's why we offer a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor for your TuffTalker computer system. We also provide free technical support Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PST), and 24-hour emergency technical support. And with our E Z Keys and Talking Screen software, you'll receive free technical support and free software updates, a bonus you can't get with other software programs.

Although all of our TuffTalker computer systems are rugged and designed to withstand the rigors of the typical AAC environment, they are not indestructible. They are computers and must be handled with care. Words+ is not responsible for units that are damaged due to abuse or misuse on the part of the user.
