TuffTalker Plus is designed for individuals who don’t use a keyboard and who prefer touch screen or switch access to other types of access modes. Its large, easily accessible screen makes it convenient for most users — even those who experience disabling conditions such as ALS, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, and closed-head injury. TuffTalker Plus is especially convenient for wheelchair users because there’s no bulky keyboard to get in the way.

TuffTalker Plus is a fully integrated communication system that offers you durability, power, and convenience. The unit conveniently mounts to your wheelchair, so you never have to worry about leaving it behind. No matter where you are — at school, at work, at home, or out with friends — TuffTalker Plus is there, helping you communicate with the world around you.

TuffTalker Plus’ exceptionally large, moisture-resistant touch screen is one of its most compelling features, making it ideal for direct selection. And because the touch screen is always visible, you’re ready to communicate wherever and whenever you need to. Powered by a super-fast Intel Centrino processor, TuffTalker Plus features plenty of hard drive space to store communication displays, photographs, documents, games, and e-mail. Your computer system comes fully loaded with Windows® XP and either Talking Screen or E Z Keys, or both. Mayer-Johnson's Speaking Dynamically Pro software with Microsoft Voice is now available as an option on all TuffTalker systems. Please call for details.

Because TuffTalker Plus is a computer system, you can operate a variety of Windows-compatible software programs, including e-mail and Internet-browsing software. Powered by a long-lasting lithium-ion battery, TuffTalker Plus also comes with an AC adapter.

Superior Voice Quality with Micro CommPac
Crystal-clear communication is important to our users. That’s why TuffTalker Plus features Micro CommPac, our high-quality speech output device. Choose either ETI-Eloquence™ or DECtalk™ or ATT Natural Voices voice synthesis software for the most realistic and intelligible voices in the industry.

Access Modes
TuffTalker Plus features a large, active matrix color liquid crystal display (LCD) with a convenient, easy-to-use touch screen. The LCD is also anti-reflective, making it easy to view in bright sunlight. TuffTalker Plus also features switch inputs for use with Morse code, joystick, Headmouse, Tracker 2000, single or multiple switches, or IST Switch.

Custom Table Mount
TuffTalker Plus comes standard with a custom table mount. This mount provides support for the unit on a table top, desk, or other flat surface. The mount can be adjusted low and horizontal, raised and vertical, or at any angle. Rubber feet provide a high-friction grip on smooth surfaces.

Although all of our TuffTalker computer systems are rugged and designed to withstand the rigors of the typical AAC environment, they are not indestructible. They are computers and must be handled with care. Words+ is not responsible for units that are damaged due to abuse or misuse on the part of the user.
